On May 27, 2016, a working fire occurred at a bungalow located at 4236 Leland Avenue in Lyons. Upon arrival, the first engine company observed heavy smoke coming from the attic. Two hoselines were deployed, and Riverside Truck 1629 was responsible for cutting into the roof. During the search, several birds were safely rescued, and it appeared that the fire was primarily confined to the attic area.
