From Justenfh.com:
Mark Robert Amore, 46, of McHenry, passed away on April 16, 2020. Born on February 1, 1974, in McHenry, Mark was the son of Wayne and Christine (Dzanbozoff) Amore. He married Jaimie Tabert in McHenry on September 28, 2013, and together they built a life filled with love and adventure.
Mark’s passion for emergency services began at a young age when he would ride his bike through the streets of McHenry chasing fire trucks. As a teenager, he joined the McHenry County Emergency Services and Disaster Agency as a radio operator, and his first call was to respond to the Plainfield tornado in 1990. Later, he worked briefly as a dispatcher for the city of McHenry before pursuing a career as a firefighter and paramedic.
After high school, Mark enrolled in EMT classes at McHenry County College and started working as an EMT with TEK Ambulance Service. He continued his education, earning his paramedic and firefighter certifications. At age 21, he joined his father in the McHenry Township Fire Protection District, a proud moment for both of them. He eventually retired from the department as a lieutenant after 20 years of dedicated service.
Mark also had a deep interest in heavy machinery and equipment. He completed an apprenticeship with Local 150 Operating Engineers and was hired by Lake County Grading, where he worked for 21 years. He later joined Pirtano Construction, continuing his work in the field.
In 2001, Mark became a full-time firefighter/paramedic with the Lincolnshire Riverwoods Fire Protection District, where he remained employed until his passing. He also served as a mechanic for the district, using the skills he learned in McHenry to support his team.
A devoted family man, Mark loved spending time with his wife, Jaimie, and their children, Ayden and Brynlee. He cherished every moment they spent boating on the Chain-O-Lakes, snowmobiling in northern Wisconsin, and camping in the great outdoors. Those were the times that brought him the most joy and made all his hard work worth it.
Mark was also an active member of the Lake County Underwater Recovery Team, where he operated side scan sonar and boats. His love for the water was evident in everything he did.
He is survived by his wife, Jaimie; his children, Ayden and Brynlee; his parents, Wayne and Christine Amore; his in-laws, Cindy and Greg Tabert; his sister-in-law, Jenna Ridenour; brothers-in-law Jason and Justen Tabert; his grandmother Marge Dzanbozoff; several aunts and uncles, cousins, and close friends.
