Mercedes-Benz sales growth of 22% in China


The sales data recently released by Mercedes-Benz shows that in September, the global sales volume was 98,200 units. The cumulative sales volume in the first three quarters reached 77,430, of which, in the Chinese market, Mercedes-Benz sold 6,700 units in the first three quarters. The same period last year increased by 22%. Among them, the S-Class sedan has further expanded its leading position in the market. In the first half of the year, sales volume increased by 40% to 3,500 vehicles, accounting for about two-thirds of sales of Mercedes-Benz cars in China. Throughout the first half of the year, sales of Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan in China soared to 1300, showing a huge market demand at a growth rate of 170%. "For the demand for cutting-edge models in the Chinese automotive market, we have long considered that setting domestic models as C and E grades is a good testimony. Market performance has repeatedly demonstrated that our original idea was right. At the same time, the C-Class has produced 1.5 million vehicles since its launch, and the new C-Class has achieved a total sales volume of 215,000 units in the first eight months of this year, and an increase of 8% in September. In addition, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class vehicle sales reached 212,300 units in the first nine months of the year, which is absolutely ahead of other competitors in the same market segment, of which the E-class wagon market accounted for 38%, and the sedan market share was 34%.
