Norway develops new technologies to reduce emissions from ships

Yara International of Norway and Wilhelmsen Maritime Services have jointly launched a ship nitrogen oxide pollution solution. The Yarwil joint venture, established by the two companies mentioned above, is promoting the technology globally. The nitrogen oxide waste gas discharged by the ship during the combustion of oil is harmful to humans and the environment. In recent years, the ship's nitrogen oxide treatment technology has developed rapidly, with an increase of 35% in the first half of 2007. It is said that the reduction of ship NOx emissions technology is related to a catalytic technology currently used in the terrestrial industry and transportation industry. The Yarwil joint venture product can effectively reduce the ship's nitrogen oxide emissions by 95%.
