At present, there are many kinds of flotation machines used at home and abroad. The differences mainly lie in the following aspects: different inflation methods; different mixing methods; different rotor and stator structures; different shape and depth of the tank; movement of the slurry in the tank, circulation The way and the way from the previous flotation cell to the latter flotation cell are different; the way the foam product is discharged is different. (1) Mechanical agitation flotation machine. This kind of flotation machine relies on mechanical agitator (rotor and stator group) to achieve the aeration and agitation of the slurry. (2) Inflatable mechanical flotation machine. The mechanical agitation device of this type of flotation machine only acts to agitate the slurry and disperse the air stream, and the air is mainly pressed by an external fan. The slurry aeration and agitation are separate.

(3) Inflatable flotation machine. This type of flotation machine is characterized by neither a mechanical agitator nor a transmission mechanism. It is supplied with compressed air from an external source to inflate and agitate the slurry. Can be subdivided into two types: purely inflatable and airlift. (4) Gas precipitation type (variable pressure type) flotation machine. This type of flotation machine is a method of changing the pressure of the gas in the slurry to cause a large amount of microbubbles to be precipitated from the slurry and to stir the slurry. Can be subdivided into pumping buck and pressurized.

In addition, for the type of flotation machine, according to its tank structure, it can be divided into deep trough and shallow trough flotation machine; according to the discharge mode of foam products, it can be divided into scraper type and self-overflow type flotation machine.

9.3.2 Basic selection principle

(1) According to the nature of the ore, such as the optionality, the selected particle size density, the grade, the pulp pH, etc., an appropriate form of flotation machine is selected. For example, selected from the ore easier, not inflated to the required conditions, the choice of the mechanical flotation machine; on the contrary, considering the selection of inflatable mechanical flotation machine; when the coarse-grained mineral stone, the choice for Coarse grain flotation machine of coarser KYF type, BS-K type; when the ore is easier to select, the selected size is fine, the grade is higher, and the PH is lower, the flotation column with higher enrichment ratio can be selected.

(2) Select the flotation machine of the corresponding specification according to the scale of the plant. Generally speaking, large-scale selection plants should use large-scale flotation machines. Medium- and small-sized plants should use medium and small-sized flotation machines. The specifications and quantity of flotation machines can be determined through technical and economic comparison.

(3) The selected operation is mainly to improve the grade of concentrate. The flotation foam layer should be a little bit to separate the gangue. It is not suitable to use a flotation machine with a large volume. Therefore, the flotation machine for selecting operations should be thick and sweeping. The job flotation machine is different.
