From July to August, China's auto import and export contrast strongly increased exports


Beijing, September 23: The reporter Gong Wen learned from the Department of Electrical and Mechanical Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce that from July to August this year, China’s auto import and export industry showed a strong contrast. Under the circumstances that the demand in the domestic auto market continued to be sluggish, China’s imported autos in July and August. Both witnessed a significant drop from the previous quarter, while automobile exports increased significantly over the same period. According to statistics, from January to August this year, the cumulative import of cars was 124,700, a year-on-year growth of 6.5%. The person in charge of the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce pointed out that changes in the consumer environment, such as the adjustment of auto consumption credit and insurance and other financial policies, as well as the implementation of new regulations, are the reasons that led to the lack of demand in the domestic auto market, and because this year is the final management of imported auto quotas. One year, many potential buyers are waiting to wait for the introduction of new management measures for imported cars next year. At the same time, the export of automotive products from January to August this year was US$4.963 billion, an increase of 66.5% year-on-year, which was higher than the increase of automobile products by 39.9 percentage points over the same period.
