New ambulance for Chicago Heights FD

Congratulations to Chief Jeffery Springer and the entire team at the Chicago Heights Fire Department on the arrival of their brand-new Frontline Model M1 ambulance! This state-of-the-art unit was built on a 2016 Chevrolet C3500 4×2 Silverado chassis and features a powerful 6.6L diesel engine. It's the fourth new ambulance for this active south suburban department, further enhancing their emergency response capabilities.

The ambulance is fully equipped with modern technology and safety features, including all LED emergency lighting and interior dome lights, a Tomar Opticom system, a custom Havis swing-out tablet docking station, a 20A Kussmaul Super Auto Eject, a custom Med-Vault, and an additional wall-mounted suction unit and charger. The short-wheelbase Frontline Model M1 is the latest offering from RevGroup, known for its durability and reliability in the ambulance industry.

This all-aluminum, modular ambulance provides over 56 cubic feet of exterior storage and 45 cubic feet of interior space, with a standard 146-inch length and 90-inch width. The interior offers 68 inches of headroom, making it both functional and comfortable for paramedics and patients alike. The model can also be configured with or without a CPR seat, offering flexibility depending on the department’s needs.
