Problems encountered in gear oil work

The corrosion of the tooth surface is mainly caused by the corrosive additives added to the oil. If you simply pursue the extreme pressure of the oil and do not pay attention to the corrosion of the oil to the metal, the extreme pressure anti-wear agent with excessive activity will cause tooth surface corrosion during use. At this time, replace the product with excellent extreme pressure and corrosion resistance. On the other hand, oil products will produce acidic corrosive substances due to oxidation during long-term use. When the acid substances accumulate to a certain extent, they will corrode the metal. At this time, oil should be changed in time. Excessive amounts of contaminants in the oil can also corrode metals, and water in the oil or lack of rust inhibitors can cause rust. Therefore, in the use, pay attention to diligent drainage to prevent pollutants from entering. In addition, it is necessary to use a product with sufficient rust inhibitor.
The main reason for the foam is that the oil contains a surfactant. The extreme pressure antiwear agents added to the oil are usually polar substances, which tend to cause the oil to foam. A certain amount of anti-foaming agent should be added to the general industrial gear oil. If the anti-foaming agent is added improperly, the amount of addition is insufficient, the dispersibility is not good, or the long-term storage stability is poor, etc., the foam in the oil is excessive and is not easy to disappear. At this time, you should switch to a product with good anti-foaming properties, or add anti-foaming agent. If the air enters the air or water, it will also increase the foam in the oil. Therefore, prevent air and water from entering the oil. Improper oil level will also increase the foam in the oil. Pay attention to the oil level during use and refuel in time.
In general, industrial gear oils will gradually become more viscous due to heat, oxidation, and light component volatilization. When the viscosity exceeds a certain range, the oil should be changed. Therefore, when selecting industrial gear oil, it is necessary to use oil with good oxidation stability. To avoid overheating of the components during use, the Beijing lampblack purifier prevents the light components in the oil from evaporating too quickly. Some gear oils are added with a tackifier. In use, the tackifier is sheared and the polymer is broken, resulting in a decrease in viscosity. When selecting a gear oil with a tackifier, it is necessary to use a good shear stability oil. Once the viscosity of the oil is found to be significantly reduced, the oil should be changed in time. When adding gear oil, you should also understand the viscosity grade of the original oil, and add the same level of new oil as the original oil, otherwise it will cause the viscosity to increase or decrease.
The occurrence of tooth surface wear is mainly caused by particulate impurities in the oil or insufficient lubricity of the oil. Particulate impurities in the oil may be metal scraping or foreign contaminants that are caused by dirty cleaning of the fuel tank or gear. Therefore, be sure to carefully clean the fuel tank and components before use, and prevent foreign pollutants from being brought into the system during use. Poor lubricity of the oil or too low a viscosity level of the oil may cause abnormal wear on the tooth surface. Therefore, it is necessary to use a good lubricity oil or to increase the viscosity grade of the oil to improve the antiwear performance of the gear oil.
Excessive operating temperatures or loads can cause burns and abrasions on the tooth surface. The operating temperature and load should be reduced at this time. In addition, if the extreme pressure of the oil is not enough, the tooth surface will be scratched due to the rupture of the oil film. Therefore, the working gear with a large load must use the extreme pressure industrial gear oil. Lack of oil can cause severe burns on the tooth surface. In the course of use, the oil surface must be observed frequently, and the new oil should be replenished to the prescribed amount in time. Pitting on the tooth surface If the machined surface of the gear is rough and the local pressure is too high, point contact at the tip end of the tooth surface may occur, causing pitting. Therefore, to improve the smoothness of the tooth surface, the extreme pressure industrial gear oil is selected. If the viscosity of the gear oil is too low, a continuous oil film cannot be formed between the tooth surfaces, and dry friction occurs at the point contact of the tooth surface portion, which causes pitting corrosion. At this time, it is necessary to increase the viscosity level of the selected oil.
