Deep sea resource development is expected to see domestic ROV figure

The avant-garde instrument, Harbin Engineering University and the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences cooperated to build China's first deep-sea ROV R&D and production base to break the foreign monopoly and fill the gap in China's related fields.

● The Far East Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences is responsible for providing ROV-related technologies and providing technical guidance. Harbin Engineering is responsible for the digestion of ROV-introduced technologies and the development of key technologies. The avant-garde instruments are responsible for the transformation and industrialization of ROV technology.
● The deep sea ROV engineering prototype will be developed in 2016, and will be industrialized by 2018, with an annual output of 20 to 50 sets and an industrial output value of about 30 billion yuan.

The reporter recently learned that the domestic 3000m water depth underwater robot (ROV) industrialization project has passed the preliminary review of the International Cooperation Project of the Ministry of Science and Technology. This marks the opening of China's first deep sea oil exploitation ROV industrialization project in cooperation with China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation Chongqing Qianwei Instrument Co., Ltd., Harbin Engineering University and the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Once the project is successfully developed, it means that China will have domestically produced deep sea oil and gas exploitation ROV, thus breaking the foreign monopoly and filling the gap in this field.
At the beginning of this year, Harbin Engineering University signed a key technical cooperation agreement and cooperation letter of intent for deep sea oil exploitation ROV with avant-garde instruments and the Institute of Marine Technology of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The agreement and the letter of intent stipulate that the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences is responsible for providing ROV-related technologies and providing technical guidance. The Harbin Engineering University is responsible for the digestion of ROV-introduced technologies and the research and development of key technologies. The avant-garde instruments are responsible for the transformation and industrialization of ROV technology. Li Hua, assistant director of the avant-garde instrument industry development department, said that they will cooperate, introduce, digest and re-innovate Russian technology, gradually break through the technical bottlenecks in deep sea ROV development and production process, and realize the industrialization of ROV.
It is understood that the deep sea ROV engineering prototype will be developed in 2016, and will be industrialized by 2018, with an annual output of 20 to 50 sets and an industrial output value of about 30 billion yuan. In order to ensure the smooth development of the project, avant-garde instruments will actively invest in the funds of the International Science and Technology Cooperation Project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and will invest about 20 million yuan in the early stage for the R&D and production base construction of the deep sea ROV.
Deep sea ROV plays an important role in the exploitation of oil and gas resources. China's South China Sea is rich in oil and gas resources. The oil resources of the South China Sea Basin are 23 billion to 30 billion tons, and the natural gas resources are about 16 trillion cubic meters, 70% of which are in the deep sea. At present, the depth of offshore oilfields explored and developed by China's offshore oil industry generally does not exceed 300 meters. Although the “Offshore Deepwater Oil and Gas Development Fleet” with the “Offshore Oil 981” 3,000-meter deepwater semi-submersible drilling platform is the target for improving deepwater operation capacity. Important strategic significance, but from the current point of view, China's strength in this field is still weak, and the technical level is obviously not high. Therefore, it is extremely urgent to improve the technical level of China's deep-sea oil and gas exploration equipment, and the development of domestic deep-sea ROV is an important part of it. At present, China's domestic ROV for oil exploitation is mainly developed by the Shenyang Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the 702th Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation. The water depth of the work is generally no more than 300 meters, and it has not been industrialized; The ROV for deep sea oil exploitation mainly depends on imports.
“Depending on the depth of the work and the function of the product, the ROV imported from abroad is between 30 million and 100 million yuan. Currently, most of the ROVs used for deep-sea oil and gas exploitation are manufactured by American International Marine Engineering Corporation and Norwegian Subsea 7. Li Hua introduced that deep sea ROV mainly performs installation, commissioning and maintenance of underwater production systems in the deep sea areas of several hundred meters to 3,000 meters. The environment is complex and complicated, and many problems such as navigation, communication, positioning, pressure resistance and corrosion resistance should be considered. . Its key technologies include energy, precision positioning, zero-visibility navigation, high-strength and lightweight and corrosion-resistant structural materials and buoyant materials technology, operating technology, acoustic technology, recycling technology, etc., and equipment control requires a professional team to carry out. Compared with foreign advanced technologies, domestic deep-sea ROV-related technologies have a big gap, and there is no need to increase efforts to promote the R&D process.
Li Hua said that the avant-garde instrument will cooperate with the Harbin Engineering University and the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences to develop a deep-sea ROV with independent intellectual property rights and realize industrialization. It will not only greatly increase the working water depth to 3,000 meters, but also can work continuously for 5~ 10 hours, this will greatly improve the technical level of deep-sea oil exploration in China and break the monopoly of foreign countries in this field.
