Second, in order to make greater progress in new energy truck technology, Shaanxi Automobile set up a new energy truck research institute. During the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan†period, Shaanxi Steam assumed the only national 863 project in Shaanxi Province, which is also the only project in the country to study the application of new energy in the field of heavy commercial vehicles. Currently, the research projects being developed by the institute include oil-gas hybrid heavy trucks, pure electric heavy trucks, and dimethyl ether fuel heavy trucks.
