Following the retirement of Buffalo Grove Fire Department Battalion Chief Brian Barna, the department made several key promotions during the village board meeting on Monday, May 6, 2019. Lieutenant Ronald Two Bulls was officially promoted to the rank of battalion chief, while Firefighter Alfredo Caballero was elevated to the position of lieutenant. These changes mark an important transition for the department as it continues to grow and adapt. The promotions were celebrated with a series of photo opportunities, capturing both Two Bulls and Caballero in their new roles. The images, taken by local photographer Larry Shapiro, showcase the professionalism and dedication of the firefighters. Each photo highlights the significance of the moment, as the community honors the leadership and service of those who have stepped up to fill critical positions. Two Bulls, now serving as a battalion chief, brings years of experience and leadership to his new role, ensuring the continued safety and efficiency of the department. Meanwhile, Caballero’s promotion reflects his hard work and commitment, as he moves into a leadership position that will allow him to guide and support his fellow firefighters. These promotions are not just about titles—they represent the ongoing development of the Buffalo Grove FD as a strong, capable, and responsive emergency services organization. With new leaders stepping in, the department is well-positioned to meet the challenges of the future.
