About two months ago, Delfast officially announced the start of development on a new electric cargo tricycle, as part of a grant from the USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine. Now, the brand is sharing more details about this innovative vehicle designed specifically for small businesses and individual entrepreneurs.

According to Delfast engineer Serhii Goncharov, the Trike features a robust electric frame equipped with a 750W rear motor and a 48V 40Ah lithium battery. It will also include wellgo pedals, a prowheel crank, and headlights. One notable feature is that the e-tricycle is completely waterproof, making it easy to clean and maintain in all weather conditions.

The image above shows the real-world construction of the Trike's frame, which has already been tested in CAD simulations. Engineers are currently using this model to test different load scenarios, calculate the total weight, and simulate the integration of other components. “We run simulations based on this frame and try various loads to see how the bike performs,” Goncharov explained.

The Trike is expected to travel up to 120 km (75 miles) on a single charge, making it an ideal transportation solution for small businesses operating in remote areas where traditional vehicles may not reach. The goal is to provide a reliable and eco-friendly alternative for local delivery and transport needs.

In addition to its long range, the Trike can carry up to 300 kg (660 lbs) of cargo—perfect for transporting goods of all kinds. While it’s not built for high-speed off-road adventures, it can still reach speeds of up to 40 km/h (25 mph), offering a practical and efficient option for daily use.
