CFD updates

Early one recent morning, a two-alarm fire broke out on Chicago's South Side. Although the incident didn't yield ideal photo opportunities for the firefighters, it provided an opportunity to showcase some new vehicles on this website. All the images were taken at night, and they'll eventually be replaced with daytime shots. In the meantime, though, these photos give us a chance to introduce additional fire companies. One highlight among them is Engine 32’s brand-new 2009 Spartan Crimson apparatus, which has just entered service. Below is a glimpse of other units that have been updated: - Light Wagon 9-1-5 - Engine 34 - Hose Wagon 6-1-1 - Battalion 21 Looking ahead, we’ll soon be adding the following units, representing newly listed fire equipment from the scene: - Engine 64 & Ambulance 27 - Engine 88 & 4-5-5 - Engine 101 & Truck 41 - Engine 129 & Truck 50 - Engine 15, Battalion 20 & Ambulance 18 While the initial set of images may lack the vibrancy of daylight photography, they still offer a unique perspective of the firefighting operations during the early hours. This experience serves as a reminder of how every emergency call presents not only challenges but also opportunities to document and share valuable insights about our local fire departments. Stay tuned as we continue updating this page with fresh content!
