Here are some excerpts from the Chicago Tribune:

Two people, including a firefighter, were injured when they slipped on ice during a house fire in Tinley Park, according to officials. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon under extremely cold conditions.

Firefighters responded to the 16000 block of Fairfax Lane around 12:45 p.m., said Assistant Fire Chief Kris Dunn. Upon arrival, they saw heavy flames coming from the first floor and attached garage of the home. As they approached the scene, they received a call about a possible person trapped inside, but that turned out to be false, according to Dunn.

The fire was intense, and the weather made the situation even more challenging. Despite the harsh conditions, firefighters worked quickly to contain the blaze and ensure the safety of residents. Fortunately, no one else was seriously hurt, and the fire was eventually brought under control.
