The Prospect Heights Fire District conducted a training exercise in an empty house located at 207 South Parkway during the week of June 22nd. It was interesting to see how the firefighters practiced real-life scenarios in a controlled environment. The training included everything from entering a burning structure to operating a hose line and managing a portable water tank. The use of live fire allowed them to gain hands-on experience without any actual danger. I had a great time capturing these moments, and I hope the photos give you a sense of what it's like to be part of such an important exercise.
