Shanghai Electric pushes new gas turbine to alleviate power shortage

On August 18, the dispatching ceremony of the new F-class heavy-duty gas turbine of Shanghai Electric (Group) Corporation (referred to as Shanghai Electric) was held in Shanghai, and Shanghai Vice Mayor Hu Yanzhao attended and cut the ribbon.

In the second half of 2004, Shanghai Electric and Siemens began to cooperate to produce the first F-class heavy-duty gas turbine, which was successfully developed in 10 months. The machine will be installed at the Shanghai Dongkou Gas Turbine Power Plant. According to the requirements of the West-East Gas Pipeline Project during the National Tenth Five-Year Plan period, the power plant will then install two turbines of the same grade. At that time, it will further alleviate the shortage of electricity consumption in production and living in Shanghai.
