Fourth alarm

A major fire broke out in a large home in Pleasant Prairie, prompting several Illinois fire departments to respond into Kenosha County for assistance. Firefighters from Newport, Winthrop Harbor, Zion, Beach Park, Waukegan, Antioch, and Gurnee were on the scene. Additional units remained at their stations to cover shifts as the situation unfolded.

The fire was intense, with thick black smoke visible from miles away. Multiple engines and ladder trucks were deployed, showing the scale of the response. Residents in the area were advised to stay indoors due to the heavy smoke. No injuries have been reported at this time, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
