Annual Chicago Fire Engine Rally & Swap Meet (more)

I just got back from the Fire Muster event, and it was an absolute blast! One of the highlights for me was seeing the Palatine Snorkel for the first time. It's such a cool piece of equipment, and I'm glad they brought it out this year. The weather was perfect—sunny and crisp, just what you'd want for a day outdoors. Unfortunately, not everything went smoothly. The Chicago FD Engine 10 Fox had some mechanical trouble and ended up needing to be towed home on a flatbed. That's always a bummer when something like that happens, but these things are bound to occur at events like this. If you're interested in checking out more photos and videos, they're all available [here]. Big thanks to Steve Redick for capturing some amazing shots and sharing them with everyone. Here's a quick rundown of some of the standout vehicles I saw: - **Chicago FD Ahrens Fox Fire Engine**: A classic beauty that caught everyone's attention. - **Peotone FD Pumper Tanker**: Sleek and functional, perfect for their department. - **Palatine FD Snorkel**: Definitely one of the most impressive pieces at the event. - **Frankfort FD Snorkel**: Another great example of modern firefighting technology. - **Chicago FD Special Operations Compressor Unit 5-2-3**: Essential for handling special situations. - **Vintage Fire Trucks**: Always a treat to see older models still looking sharp. - **Vintage American LaFrance Century Pumper**: A real throwback to earlier times. And if you're into watching the action, there's also a video footage embedded below that gives you a feel for how it all went down. Overall, it was a fantastic day filled with great company and awesome vehicles. Can't wait for next year already! [embedded content]
