Auto parts giant Bosch attacked China's security market

On January 24, 2008, the Bosch Group made a significant investment of USD 58 million to build a new plant in Zhuhai, marking the largest project for its security systems globally. According to Peng Deyuan, president of Bosch Group in China, the products manufactured at this facility are expected to account for 30% of the company’s total security output. These products will primarily serve the Chinese market and the broader Asia-Pacific region, with an estimated annual value of around RMB 800 million. As one of the world's top 500 companies, the Bosch Group is the leading supplier of automotive components globally. In 2004, it established a joint venture with Wuxi Weifu Group, the country’s largest manufacturer of diesel fuel injection systems. Bosch held a two-thirds stake in the joint venture, which helped establish China’s core technology in this field. Bosch further expanded its presence in China by acquiring the auto starter and power generation business from SAIC Motor through its Changsha branch, solidifying its position as a key player in the domestic automotive industry. Industry experts suggest that as a global leader in advanced technology, Bosch often enters new markets through acquisitions, allowing it to quickly gain a foothold and influence global trends. With its recent move into the Chinese security market, analysts believe stronger acquisition strategies may follow. After the partnership with Weifu, the latter gradually shifted its production to Euro II standards, while higher-standard products like Euro III and above were handled by the joint venture. This shift led to Weifu losing control over its core technology and R&D capabilities. Additionally, Bosch took control of sales channels, raising prices of P-type fuel injection pumps from 7,000 to 13,000 yuan, effectively dominating the domestic market. Since 2000, Bosch has acquired several prominent companies, including American Dixon Security Equipment and Philips’ communications and video security divisions. These acquisitions have been consolidated under the single Bosch brand. Bu Luomen, Vice President of Sales for Bosch Security Systems in China, emphasized that the Asia-Pacific region, especially China, is a key focus for the company’s global expansion. It is projected that by 2014, over 25% of Bosch’s security business will come from Asia. In 2007, Bosch’s security division contributed about 16% to the company’s global revenue. To meet future growth targets, the Chinese security business is expected to double within the next five years. By 2005, Bosch had invested 600 million euros in China. Between 2005 and 2007, another 600 million euros were poured into expanding operations. Peng Deyuan noted that the company plans to continue investing at the same pace and intensity in the coming years, with potential acquisitions on the horizon. The Chinese security market, particularly in video surveillance, has experienced explosive growth. For example, the Ministry of Public Security’s “3111 Project” launched in August 2005 saw significant investments in cities like Dongguan (300 million yuan) and Daqing (450 million yuan). Medium-sized cities alone are estimated to invest billions in security infrastructure. Alongside traditional security firms, numerous IT companies have also entered the market. Brands such as Digital China, Shanghai Bell, Skyworth, TCL, H3C, D-Link, Panasonic, Sony, and Samsung have made their mark at industry events, capturing significant market shares. According to insiders, the entry of international players like Bosch is driving technological innovation and reshaping the security industry in China. This trend is expected to accelerate as competition intensifies and market demand continues to grow.

Mobile Jaw Crusher Machine

The Mobile Jaw Crusher station widely used in mines, coal mines, garbage and construction waste recycling, civil engineering, urban infrastructure, roads or construction sites etc.

Mobile jaw crusher station is mainly composed of feeder, jaw crusher and belt conveyor. The capacity is 85-650 tons per hour. The machine adopts the integrated group operation mode, can work separately, eliminates the complex site infrastructure and auxiliary facilities installation of the split-component, and reduces the man-hour consumption.
