Qingshan Shipyard opened the largest tonnage vessel in Central China

It was revealed by Changhang Group that two 57,000-ton bulk carriers have officially begun construction at Qingshan Shipyard, part of China Changhang Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Corporation. This marks a significant milestone, as these vessels are the largest in terms of tonnage ever built in Central China. According to reports, the ships were commissioned by the Greek company Midway Shipping and Trading. The design was handled by the Shanghai Ship Design Institute, ensuring high standards of efficiency and performance. Each vessel measures 189.99 meters in length, 32.26 meters in width, 18 meters in height, and has a draft of 11.3 meters. These specifications make them well-suited for long-haul cargo transportation across international waters. In recent years, Qingshan Shipyard has established itself as a key player in the global shipbuilding industry. It has successfully undertaken multiple series of export vessels, including 18,500-ton duplex stainless steel chemical tankers, 3,750-ton electric propulsion tankers, 12,000-ton bulk carriers, and 1,100TEU container ships. This latest project further solidifies its reputation for delivering high-quality, large-scale vessels tailored to international clients' needs.
