Recently, the People's Government of Jiangsu Province and China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec) signed a comprehensive cooperation and development agreement in Beijing. This landmark deal marks a significant step forward in strengthening the strategic partnership between the provincial government and one of China's leading energy giants.
Under the terms of the agreement, Sinopec will initiate the construction of several key projects, including the three-wheel ethylene renovation project at Yangzi Petrochemical. Additionally, the company will actively support Jiangsu Province's long-term planning for refining and chemical integration projects along the northern coast. Lianyungang is set to become a crucial base for crude oil storage and industrial integration in the coastal area, further enhancing the region's energy infrastructure.
In return, Jiangsu Province has pledged full support for Sinopec's major projects within the province. The local government will also assist in the development of a refined oil sales network, including the construction of pipelines for Jiangsu-produced fuels and an expanded network of gas stations across the region. This collaboration is expected to boost economic growth, create jobs, and enhance the competitiveness of Jiangsu's energy sector on a national scale.
