The event aimed to explore national automotive policies and discuss strategies for promoting the healthy and rapid growth of the local auto industry.
Currently, the Hubei automotive industry has established two major clusters of auto parts production, stretching from Shiyan and Xiangfan through Hanjiang to Wuhan, Yichang, and Jingzhou, and along the Yangtze River to Huangshi. These regions have developed strong industrial agglomeration advantages, making Hubei a key player in China's automotive sector.
In response to both opportunities and challenges, Guo Konghui, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor at Jilin University, emphasized that the growth of China's self-owned auto brands is crucial for long-term innovation. He advocated for equal and win-win cooperation between domestic and foreign partners, rather than dependence on external forces. The goal, he said, should be to build competitive, independent brands with their own core technologies, entering a virtuous cycle of sustainable development.
Meanwhile, Miao Xi, a Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, delivered a speech at the forum. Peng Limin, a standing member of the municipal party committee and secretary of the municipal party committee, also attended the meeting. The gathering highlighted the importance of strategic planning and collaborative efforts in driving the future of Hubei's automotive industry forward.
