Shijiazhuang Jizhao Industrial Co., Ltd. has recently introduced a compact agricultural environmental protection device known as the straw crushing juicer, which has now entered mass production. This innovative machine, designed to process crop straw efficiently, is expected to revolutionize how farmers handle agricultural waste. Researcher Peng Yi explained that this portable machine can be powered by either diesel or electricity and can be easily transported to fields. It quickly processes green straw from crops like corn, cotton, wheat, and rice into various useful forms, such as pellets, plant fiber powder, and fuel rods. These by-products have multiple applications: pellet feed blocks and fiber powder can be used as livestock feed or raw materials for papermaking and artificial boards, while fuel rods can be further processed into carbon rods, serving as an alternative to coal in urban heating and power generation.
Additionally, the juice extracted from corn stalks can be used to produce bioethanol, natural chlorophyll, and xylitol—products with significant value in both industrial and consumer markets. According to estimates, producing one ton of carbon rods costs about 400 yuan, but they can be sold for up to 1,400 yuan per ton in North America, offering substantial economic returns. One ton of corn stalk juice can yield 300 liters of crude alcohol, valued at around 500 yuan, and 0.4 kilograms of crude chlorophyll, worth nearly 300 yuan. Using this juice directly in dairy farming can also boost milk quality and production by up to 15%.
Industry experts believe that the widespread adoption of this straw processing machine will not only reduce the problem of straw burning but also significantly increase farmers’ income, potentially adding over 100 yuan per mu. Ultimately, this technology offers a sustainable solution to agricultural waste, turning it into a true treasure.
