Shijiazhuang Jizhao Industrial Co., Ltd. has recently introduced a compact agricultural environmental equipment known as the straw crushing juicer, which is now entering mass production. This innovative machine, designed as an integrated solution for straw processing, has the potential to transform crop residues into valuable resources.
Researcher Peng Yi explained that this portable device can be easily transported to fields and operated using either diesel or electric power. It efficiently processes green straws from crops such as corn, cotton, wheat, and rice, converting them into various useful products like pellets, plant fiber powder, and fuel rods. Pellets and fiber powder can serve as raw materials for livestock feed, papermaking, or the production of artificial boards during winter and spring. Meanwhile, the fuel rods can be further processed into carbon rods, offering a sustainable alternative to coal in urban heating systems and power plants.
Notably, the juice extracted from corn stalks can be used to produce bioethanol, natural chlorophyll, and xylitol—each with high market value. According to estimates, the cost of producing one ton of carbon rods is approximately 400 yuan, while the export price to North America reaches around 1,400 yuan per ton, making it a highly profitable venture. Additionally, each ton of corn stalk juice can yield 300 liters of crude alcohol, valued at about 500 yuan, and 0.4 kilograms of crude chlorophyll, worth nearly 300 yuan. Using this processed feed can also improve milk quality and increase milk production in dairy cows by up to 15%.
Industry experts believe that widespread adoption of this straw processing machine will significantly reduce the burning of crop residues, minimize waste, and boost farmers' income by over 100 yuan per mu. By turning what was once considered waste into valuable resources, this technology not only supports environmental sustainability but also creates new economic opportunities for rural communities.
